Kingfisher Canalside Cafe was the first such outlet at this location (and most say the best) and opened in 2004. Since then business has grown and grown to the extent that a major expansion was undertaken in 2012 with the doubling of the size of the premises. Today the cafe seats 60 inside in spacious comfort and more recently the outside seating areas were thoroughly revamped with the installation of top of the range raised decking together with extremely comfortable rattan type furniture. These outside areas accommodate a total of approximately 90 diners including some overlooking the recently built indoor swimming pool and some with a view of the canal with all it’s boating activity.
